Tea Mandala grew from a desire to share how much more tea can be when its prepared with a little extra love and attention.

For me, this means:

- sourcing the highest quality ingredients and handcrafting my teas in small batches to ensure freshness and full flavour

- introducing you to more imaginative ways of brewing your tea

- encouraging you to bring mindfulness into your tea drinking experience

Through my events and my selection of organic loose-leaf teas and herbal infusions, I promote vibrant health and wellbeing while providing a delightful sensory taste experience. Drawing from the ancient tea cultures of China and Japan, and Yogic and Ayurvedic lifestyle practices of India, I hope to inspire you to really take your time to enjoy your tea slowly, awakening your senses, calming your mind, and savouring the flavours, sip by sip, infusion by infusion.

All Tea Mandala blends are handcrafted in small batches to ensure freshness and full flavour. My organic loose-leaf teas are better for you, and better for the environment. You can see exactly what you’re getting – no hidden nasties, and no plastic woven into the tea bags. Good quality tea like this can be re-infused multiple times before composting, and the packaging is biodegradable too.

I hope you enjoy my teas as much as I enjoy sharing them with you!

HELLO!

I'm Kalpa, and I have always been intrigued by the variety of ways herbs and teas are prepared, enjoyed, and used medicinally by different cultures. This started at home with the legendary Indian Masala Chai, characterised by aromatic spices prepared in countless combinations, each aunty with her own unique secret for making it taste so good. Delighted by the vast selection of teas I encountered in the tea houses of Eastern Europe, I was captivated and curious. I eventually found myself in the misty mountains of China and Taiwan sipping the finest of Wulong teas, listening to tales by tea masters. Inspiration was brewing long before I had realised.

For some years, I worked as a Tea Specialist for a group of popular cafés in Manchester, while training as an Ayurvedic Herbalist.

From a kitchen cupboard overflowing with herbs, teas, and stories collected while travelling all over the world, and a series of interactive pop up tea stalls, tasting events and markets, Tea Mandala was born.
